02 — The work

Six kinds of crop input.

These are the lines Hortilife Genetics sells. A pack name, a dose, and a registration belong on the label. They will appear here when we have them.

1. 01

   Plant growth regulators

   A PGR is for managing how a plant grows or flowers. It is not a feed, and it is not an insecticide. Use it only on the crop and the stage the pack names.

2. 02

   Insecticide

   An insecticide is for insect pests. The pack names which insects and which crops. If the damage is from disease or from water, this is not the first line to reach for.

3. 03

   Herbicide

   A herbicide is for weeds among the crop. The same product can hurt the crop if the timing or the crop is wrong. The pack is the rule, not a neighbour’s advice.

   Fungicide

   A fungicide is for fungal disease — spots, mould, rot. Other trouble can look the same. If you are not sure what you are seeing, write before you buy.

5. 05

   Plant boosters

   A plant booster is a support product. A weak crop can be hungry, dry, sick, or insect-eaten. This line does not replace the four above.

6. 06

   Biostimulants

   A biostimulant is also a support product. In India it is not classed with pesticides. A licence line will sit here when we have it. Until then, go by the pack in your hand.
